Why did people despise Apartheid South Africa? Because the Western backed government:
•Annually killed hundreds of Indigenous with impunity, including children
•Annually took at least 10K+ hostages, including 1000+ children
•Stole Indigenous land and built hundreds of thousands of illegal homes
•Enforced separate facilities for the "racially inferior" Indigenous

And guess what?

Israel does ALL OF THE ABOVE, and now also passed a law that kills Palestinians only by hanging. Israel Is Apartheid.

#2 How heart rate and symptoms are connected with Cardiologist Dr Boon Lim - Make Visible: Chronic Illness Explored | iHeart

Cardiologist Dr Boon Lim describes himself as an electrician of the heart. Extremely experienced in surgically repairing heart rhythms, he is also an expert in treating Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) and related autonomic conditions. His approach to the diagnosis and treatment of both the symptoms and pathophysiology of these disorders is refreshing – nuanced and holistic.

In this week’s episode, which is Part 1. of this interview, Dr Boon Lim discusses the challenges that are faced by patients with this autonomic dysfunction, and the methods he uses to assess – the tilt table test combined with a detailed patient history. He describes physiologically what happens to the patients’ bodies and brains with POTS or POTS-like syndrome and how that causes vasovagal syncope (fainting). We talk about the importance of hydration and how that alters the body’s ability to cope with changes in posture that can induce tachycardia, and the detrimental effects of bedrest or reduced movement.

In the episode Dr Boon Lim references his diagram showing the changes that takes place in the blood and blood pressure when hydration is increased. The video can be found here, on his stopfainting.com website.

For a man with such a depth and breadth of knowledge Dr Boon Lim’s openness and humility are stark and his strategies for equilibrium are remarkably simple. If you would like to know more about his approach and what he means by ‘missing the elephant’ please tune in for Part 2. of this interview – and if you can’t wait two weeks please ‘follow’, ‘like’, ‘subscribe’, or review here on your podcast app, or comment or contact us with your thoughts via the links below, and perhaps we can release it sooner.

Make Visible

@visible_health

@visible.health

The gap between what artificial intelligence promised and what the battlefield delivered has become the defining scandal of the Iran war.

AI-powered targeting systems generated over 1,000 strike coordinates in the first 24 hours.

AI simulations projected rapid regime collapse.

AI logistics models forecast a 12-hour securing of the Strait of Hormuz.

None of it happened as predicted.

Thirteen American service members are dead,
over 200 wounded,
oil has breached $120 a barrel,
and the regime in Tehran
— far from collapsing
— has installed a new supreme leader and triggered nationalist rallies
rather than the pro-US uprising planners had expected.

A growing body of evidence, drawn from leaked planning documents, academic research, and the testimony of intelligence professionals,
suggests that the most consequential military operation of the twenty-first century
may have been shaped less by strategic necessity than by a phenomenon researchers now call
AI sycophancy
— the tendency of large language models to tell their users exactly what they want to hear

Was the Iran War Caused by AI Psychosis? | House of Saud

AI sycophancy, RLHF bias, and Ender's Foundry simulations shaped Operation Epic Fury. 7 planning assumptions failed in 23 days as the Iran war defied every AI prediction.

A lot less human labour goes into modern EVs than your granpa's gas guzzler. Far fewer moving parts, much more factory automation and innovations like casting the body of the car in a single piece, instead of welding a bunch of pieces together.

@jeffmcneill @mekkaokereke
Part if it is US manufacturers were slow to embrace LFP battery chemistries (cheaper than NMC batteries).

But most of it is the Chinese government and industry spent billions in research and capital to make EVs cheaper than gas cars. Economies of scale and strategic vertical integration of supply chains.

What you guy think about not being able to skip relics in chests?

I had a run with the relic that deals 20 damage to all enemies if you finish a turn with no cards in hand. A chest forced unceasing top on me, breaking the previous relic.

A question mark a few floors later let me swap unceasing top for a different relic, but still. Damn.

True, but an attacker may not be able to get to the elevator, due to the crowd of people at reception complaining they can't get to their rooms.
