In some ways this is a police procedural and in some ways this is a family drama with a mystery sort of thrown into it. I liked this book and it did grab me from the beginning. Was concerned at one point that the story would let me down, but figuring out how the pieces fit together were worth the full reading experience. #goodreads
All I can say about this book is wow. Not a cozy mystery. This is very much a deep psychological thriller. Everything about this book can not be predicted. A bit of Misery. But up a notch with an outcome you can not see coming. Not for everyone, but if you are a lover of twisty psych fic., it is a winner. #goodreads
This is a lovely cozy mystery. Brookes has a number of series and I recommend them all. This mystery has a little Thursday Murder club vibe, but less gritty. The mystery is good. The cast of characters are well thought through. Looking forward to more of this senior travel mystery series. #goodreads
This series is really good. I loved the Pitt and Charlotte mysteries from Anne Perry. This series set in the 20's feels like a worthy successor to that series. Saffron, Elizabeth and Alexander travel to Saffron's family home and are immediately involved in two mysteries. We get to meet more of Saffron's family and more of her father's work. #goodreads
This is a very twisty thriller. Some of the twists are a little bit obvious, but I look for the twists. Tess and Allie go spelunking and find themselves hunted by a predator. Why? At first, I wasn't sure I was going to finish, but stay with it and you will be rewarded. #goodreads
Vacation Reading. I have been reading Mark Zubro since the 90's and have loved two series so much. New entry in the Turner mysteries was full of police culture narratives. Paul and his partner need to solve a mystery tied to a hated colleague. Will they survive? Very good LGBTQ mystery. #goodreads
Vacation Reading. The next entry in the Scotty mystery series was a really fun read as always! Highly recommend Herren's LGBTQ mysteries, but I generally read on vacation. Collin returns and tells his other husbands he plans to retire, but Scotty's current mystery must relate to Collin somehow. #goodreads
I loved this entry into this cozy mystery series. The private eyes go on holiday at a castle resort which is just opening and of course murders ensue. Without communications and internet the ladies must find the murderer before they get murdered. Funny and twisty enough to be a good read. #goodreads
This is first book in a cozy mystery series about an antiquarian book seller. The provenance of the book is the key this mystery. Although set in modern times, it has a feeling of the 30's. The book was ok. I will try the second book, but not sure if I will continue the series. #goodreads
So, I finished the Game Changers series and I think that the two most recent books are really the best! This continuation of Ilya and Shane's story is the best of all. Their relationship builds and grows and the characters develop immensely. Love the story! I pre-ordered the next book. #goodreads
