Librarian, Broadway Geek, Political Obsessive, watch way too much TV and mystery solver. He/Him.
A fake boyfriend to lovers M/F romance. The story starts off with a fake romance and then moves to a mystery where the protagonists try to solve who humiliated our heroine. The sexual tension is a little graphic. This book is a little long, but it does keep your attention. #goodreads
The third Heated Rivalry story. I love the Easter Eggs in books and the show. This was a fun listen and it was just as charming as the other books. Sex scene warnings, but it fits the story. Ryan Price is a really interesting character and his coming out shows the impact of Scott Hunter. #goodreads
I love a good anti-hero. This anti-hero is not really all that lovable. It is funny. It does keep your attention. It is not overly gruesome. However, it was not as good as I had hoped. I also think that it is a little long. Lalla is an interesting character to spend some time with, but not sure this much. #goodreads
After mysteries, my favorite reading topic is Lincoln. This book covers the period of time between when Lincoln decided to Sign the Emancipation Proclamation and when it became reality. It was a truly dark time for the country. Nice coverage, even if it doesn't cover any new ground. #goodreads
I love this series, like millions of other. I finally feel like I understand the characters and have internalized the cast in these mysteries. This book brings their families deeper into the mysteries. The twists in this story are just twisty enough to keep you interested and engaged. Highly Recommend. #goodreads
This second entry in a cozy book lovers series that combines the love of books and mystery, keeps you interested in the series and provides some really good character development and fills out the cast of characters. As a mystery, it is passable. I still found the book enjoyable, but at the end, felt a little let down. #goodreads
This book is very pertinent to what is going on right now especially where many of leaders have a 19th Century view of women. This thriller is not all that twisty, but its scariest part is how one thinks it could be a real story instead of fiction. Is your husband really who he seems and can you trust that understand? #goodreads
Pennsylvania False Spring 1 comes to an abrupt halt as I drove through sleet to get to work this morning......sigh.
This is a nice non-steamy romance novel. The leads fight their romantic feelings as they navigate being professor/student and competitors in an audio book reader contest. It is a pleasant read/listen and it was lovely time spent. #goodreads
Mary Kubica can write a very twisty novel. After a while, don't even try to figure out what the conclusion actually is and just let Kubica take you on a roller coaster of developments. I highly Recommend Kubica in general and this book in particular. #goodreads
