✈️ Introducing “simmer”

I wanted to do native iOS dev on my Mac mini at home from a plane but still SEE and INTERACT with my app

So I built this while on the plane 😅

The main thing I cared about was making simulators feel OKAY remotely 😅

I love being in a terminal and working from iPad and… now I feel like I have a decent end-to-end workflow for it 🤷‍♂️

I'd bought @nileane's TinyStart on launch to support it but I didn't think I'd actually be able to use it. Because switching launchers is hard and because I use my launcher Raycast for more than launching apps.

Turns out, not only is TinyStart more than an app launcher, it also covers everything I •actually• used from Raycast. And it does it without all the AI nonsense 👌

Sorry for the wait, but Ivory v2.4 is finally available on the App Store! Features support for the official quote posts (assuming your server is running Mastodon 4.5 or later) and we've made big improvements to fetching replies and post metadata in the post detail views.

Official quote posts are in the latest beta version of Ivory on Testflight for Mac and iOS.

We've also made some improvements to fetching more post data which includes like/boost counts and replies. When going to a post detail, you'll see a loading bar in the top right corner which shows that Ivory is attempting to load more data if available.
