after playing around with #bsky for a couple of days, it feels a bit strange, that so many ppl joined because "it's the one and only alternative" and "it's open source, so it's billionaire proof" when at the end of the day a couple of strategic media reports and some big-names were enough to push it to 21mio users
i do think that mastodon at the time being is the better choice and more open - but attracting masses is a different ballgame and I think they are up for a glory future
watching common senense sceptic's take on teslas #werobot ... i enjoy the video, but at the same time, i feel sorry for the guy investing so much time doing research on #musk and #tesla
so bsky.brid.gy did in fact create a user on #bluesky with my handle (took 1h) but its not a time critical task
my effort was close to nothing ... just followed @bsky.brid.gy
considering that my mastodon profile is public - i wouldn't be concerned about privacy issues as well
if it works, i will definitely stay with it
i see @bsky.brid.gy has 2.5k followers
might be a good way to bridge the fediverse with #bluesky
lets see if it takes of
just gave #bluesky another shot because there was another wave of twitter exits ...
doesn't feel right to me. it's nifty ... somewhat - and less nerdy which might attract more people ... but it smells corporate - and it's sloooow
just tried out google's #NotebookLM and I like the idea of feeding a massive collection of markdown files and let google do the heavy lifting to present a tailored podcast like sumary which i can "guide" via a prompt
I'd like to see something like this self-hostable, but I'm not sure how I would approach it
alright #bravebrowser ... you got me hopping back to thorium because you just decided to kill my tabs - and no, it's not a hardware issue like in various forums/github issues - it's you
chromium is ok, thorium is ok, firefox is ok - it's just you
ok, i didn't plan that to happen ... buuuut i think #retroidpocket5 just ticks every single box on my list and i will *not* recycle an old phone for emulation fun
