Kristie Noem, JD Vance, and Donald Trump are accessories to the murder of a US citizen by impeding any legitimate, independent investigation or trial.
For as much as #palo_alto_networks like to charge for their hardware/software/services, you'd think they'd run a few spell-checking passes on their products before shipping... Or at least after a few years of it being in use.

United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement is led and manned by domestic terrorists and murderers. They cannot, must not, will not be treated as a legitimate law enforcement agency in their current state.

Conservatives, Republicans... How the fuck do you justify this insanity?

Don't make the mistake I made by buying an HP laptop. Within a month of purchase, the SSD (a Western Digital PC SN5000s, original to the laptop) failed and is in a read-only state. Not the greatest performance I've seen out of WDC, but that's not the worst part of this story.

I open a case with HP support, and after providing the symptoms, error codes, etc., they ask if I "modified the OS". Explaining I had set it up to dual-boot into Linux, they then tried to claim that the laptop's warranty was now invalid, that I had to restore the OS to get support. I escalated.

Second call. They then ask me to update the BIOS, that it wasn't running the latest version. HP, in their infinite wisdom, only provides Windows executables... but no firmware images. I carved up the EXE and found what appeared to be the ROM image, but decided it wasn't worth it to try making that work. This was just a storage device failure.

Third call. Whole gambit of tests again, explaining I had already done them myself, and with the last calls, but proceeded. Ultimately, instead of replacing the SSD using a standard RMA process, they're now wanting to have the entire laptop shipped... for a user-serviceable and documented replaceable component.

FFS, HP. I knew I should have just bought another Framework.

If ever there was a time or reason for people to rethink their dependence on GitHub... Now might be it.

GitHub will be folded into Microsoft proper as CEO steps down

Well, my laptop had a bad weekend.

All "link protection" services that are used to rewrite and redirect links to their intended target are garbage.

Security vendors, such as Proofpoint, Microsoft, Sophos, Barracuda, Mimecast, and countless others need to stop. Their services are actively being abused, they're not doing anything about it, and it's just another example of the enshittification happening to email and the Internet.

It doesn't make email more secure. They're nothing more than click-tracking and link obfuscation tools being used by bad actors and unscrupulous tech companies.

Pour one out for the GitHub admins...
