Remember ScrLk's lovely aquarelle paintings from the #revision2025 invitation? The 16 originals have made it into the loving homes of you, our visitors in a small on-site auction - and raised a total of 1.000 Euro for @BUNDjugend_ak_digi 's fantastic projects protecting and lobbying for the #environment!
Thank you very, very much, #demoscene !

So, you're coding this really awesome demo right now, but you're missing an awesome track or additional graphics? Or vice-versa, you have cool ideas for a demo track or graphics and need a coder?
An important aspect of the #demoscene has always been collaboration, and we'd love to see your hard work getting the soundtrack, graphics or underlying code it deserves to be presented with. Here you can find the right people:

@dojoe @jtruk @revisionparty As for possible secrets: I didn't find any, at least :) https://heckmeck.de/blog/decrypting-the-revision-logo/
Decrypting the Revision logo

I just uploaded a video capture of Summoning, our new Linux intro, made with @jon, released at #revision2025

You can check it on youtube https://youtu.be/4ZU8aZ17ss0
Or even better run it on Linux (with glibc) either using the SDL or X11+PulseAudio https://demozoo.org/productions/371363/

@jdb78 @revisionparty apart from 3 fixed phones we had 38 DECT phones in use.

My favourite @revisionparty trivia:

[EDIT: Needs more digging! See: https://chaos.social/@dojoe/114404052729125609]

The logo is a circular barcode encoding a 40-bit value; a unique ID that the 'ShotCode' web service rerouted to a destination URL

This service and host website are well defunct (last active: 2007)

The Revision logo is a cryptic artifact, reproduced in many digital releases from the party, absent of this context.
A mystery in the demoscene archives that will await future historians.

@jtruk@mastodon.social @revisionparty@icosahedron.website I'm not sure that's entirely accurate though: The bullseye is not intact and there's many more than the two data rings required for a ShotCode. Also the sector and ring borders are inconsistent and not lining up in a lot of places. To me it looks like an artistic rendering inspired by one of the several similar but incompatible circular barcode schemes circulating in the 2000s. It might well be encoding some hidden message but I'm certain it's not a ShotCode :)
