Remove Stallman. Replace the FSF board. Make the Free Software movement and culture safe for women to participate.

To Everyone:

Stop harboring assholes and start shouting down "reply guys". Make it clear to women that "Yes. You belong here" - not just with words but with actions. Take safety seriously. If you can't be kind to you fellow humans, then no amount of software will benefit the world, no matter its license.

It is my opinion that Stallman should 100% step down for every reason stated in the #StallmanReport

It is sad that somebody so influential and did a lot of good and started the Free Software movement is so awful. It makes me wonder how much we missed out on with somebody like him in charge.
But on the flipside, it makes me wonder how much we missed out on having people like him excluded. People with so much talent but are awful people.

Do I want it? No. But I do have that thought sometimes.

There's a big thread on r/linux today full of fawning comments about RMS, downplaying his gross opinions or seemingly unaware that you can go to his website and read them yourself. Lovely.

A lot of people seem to think the accusations against him are some sort of slander campaign, rather than a straightforward recounting of his opinions and actions. It's astonishing that no matter how directly some men demonstrate that they are pieces of shit, people will flock to their defense.

My god this report is damning.

Yes, it is damning of Stallman.

But far, far more so of the people and industry who have enabled him. He has been an out and proud proponent of sexual abuse for decades now. He posts it on his web site! How the hell can anyone justify any role for him, anywhere, or inviting him to any event, ever?

Let Stallman rot. I don’t care. But the people who kept him around while he was defending child pornography? My god

@fsf I have just read as much of https://stallman-report.org as I can stomach, apparently this is not new information but it's new to me and many others. Richard #Stallman and the board and voting members of the #FSF who supported his reinstatement need to be replaced. This is heinous stuff to be enabling and trying to sweep under the rug.
