iOS Developer at Techniker Krankenkasse in Hamburg, Germany by day, #iOS and #Android developer by night. Recently started to use #Linux on the desktop, too. I enjoy all things digital, but I also dabble in #Photography, #3DPrinting and #Woodworking. I’m one Podcast short of being a stereotypical nerd.

Proud #Antifascist. Fuck Nazis.

I usually write in English, but may occasionally write in German if the post is only relevant to German-speaking audiences.

The Pitaka case for my S26 Ultra already arrived today. As expected, it is very nice. Like the version for the S25U, it has three additional buttons that aren't present on the phone and which trigger actions via NFC (super cool). Pitaka now calls those buttons "Aaron buttons". I was a little puzzled why. There is an explanation in the box though: they are named after Aaron Swartz. Ironically, Pitakas companion app for the buttons doesn't work without registration and an account 😏
Okay the protruding lenses are... something.
Well, the case is here. The phone hopefully arrives tomorrow. #s26ultra
This new Kagi translate feature is gold, Jerry. GOLD!
Had this notice (warning? Error?) in Google Play for a few days now. No indication what install is pending. Nothing happens. Doesn't go away with a restart either.
Successfully replaced the Ubiquiti UDM and two APs with these bad boys from @mikrotik. It was a steep learning curve, but I did it. #BuyFromEU FTW! Look at how tiny the router is and how large the APs are in comparison 😅
Current status.
Am I seeing things or is Aldi using AI slop for product photography now?
More screenshots from #Cryptical for #Android. Getting the settings screen UX right is pretty tough, because there aren't any good examples from Google. Sure, there's a whole Material catalog showcasing components, but they never really show them together in a good way. When going through Google's own apps, they are all over the place. And then there are vendors applying their own custom UI to Android (like Samsung). So my strategy with Cryptical was to go my own way, but keep it consistent.
