app review didn’t like my video or the fact that I said “for iOS” in the subtitle or the fact that I added the opener to Pride and Prejudice in the release notes. this is what 1984 warned us about. probably. i didn’t read it.

lol - we got an App Store rejection for Ollie's Arcade (I did a build removing the in-app purchasing). The rejection was that the icon looked too similar to another app.

The app in question was... Twitterrific. Which, of course, is intentional AND ISN'T EVEN FOR SALE ANYMORE.

It has been now 4 days of multiple rejections for a *critical bug fix update* to my app, where App Review asks me to remove entitlements that my app doesn't need, like com.apple.security.files.downloads.read-write

It has been now 4 days where I try to explain to App Review that I need that entitlement to save a photo to the Downloads folder, as the default save location.

@rejected and now added another problem "The app includes low resolution or jagged images." ... well it is called Pixel Art 🤦
And got rejected with "Guideline 4.2 - Design - Minimum Functionality", I guess 500+ levels is not enough to be a game 🤷 @rejected

"The app or its metadata appears to contain potentially misleading references to third-party content.
Specifically, the app includes content that resembles Lex Games without the necessary authorization."

Good news: I know a guy.

Had an App Store submission rejected saying that I hadn't corrected the issues listed last time.

But last time, it was approved.

So that's fun.

Honestly, this is infuriating. I think this rejection only came up because I mentioned Mastodon feeds in the tester notes, too.

Yet more evidence that if I had just put, "bug fixes" they'd have approved it.

This is such absolute bullshit.

OMG.. I spent all week in the zone coding stuff for Tapestry 1.4.. and it just now got TestFlight rejected.

The reason:

- Please provide step-by-step instructions to locate "Mastodon feeds".

WHAT?!

Two iOS 26 app updates put up for review the day after Xcode RC came out…

One app was reviewed, approved, and ready for release today.

The other? Reviewed and rejected for three issues that have been in the app for years. Still waiting for review. Missed today’s launch date. Glad I worked hard to be ready on launch day. Thanks, Apple.
