Do you read manga like me but don’t have anyone to talk to about it? Ever tried to get your significant other to read a story you just know they’d love, only to get a weird look and a “not for me”? Yeah, I have.

Instead of guilt-tripping my partner into reading manga, I turn to podcasts.

Most people don’t have the graphic I made to go with them, though, which makes the info a bit more visual and appealing.

So keep swiping with that thumb and enjoy some Akira movie facts, both well-known and lesser-known, along with answers to a few questions people are always asking about it.

I sat down the other day and finally watched the Akira movie all the way through. You can check out my Akira review and let me know what you think. While I was reading up on the film, I came across some interesting facts that a lot of people might not know.

, his goofy look totally sells his weakness and cluelessness.

The humor is fun, though fair warning: it's childish, pervy, and feels like something ripped straight out of the '80s or '90s.

At its core, it's a basic shonen setup: cowardly weakling somehow beats a super strong dude, instantly becomes a target for every delinquent around, and now has to rely on a hot female instructor who uses ecchi tactics to "train" him.

If any of that sounds like your cup of tea, then yeah, definitely give it

If you're a fan of rude, crude, violent ecchi manga, then I highly recommend Human Weapon Katsuo! / Ningen Kyouki Katsuo!

It's violent, sexual, hilarious, and absolutely not politically correct, definitely not for sensitive or modern audiences.

But the art? It really works for me. It's got that sharp, clean edge, similar to 123 Change (another one you should check out). The characters are well drawn: the women are sexy, the men look strong, and the main character’s design adds to the comedy

What's you favorite style?

I grew up in the 2000s so I would say I'm bias to that, but the 80s/90's colour and animation was just something special compared to what is produced today, classics like akira and ghost in the shell still hold up.

What's even crazier is going back and looking at older aime that no one has ever seen and seeking the level of detail in the art and animation.
