New year. New book. New agent!
My former agent’s retiring, and now I’m thrilled to be joining the Speilburg Literary family.
Friends, I wrote the book of my heart last year, and am overjoyed that Alice will be representing it in 2023.
Hi, I'm a storyteller and here's today's PSA:
When you travel somewhere new, get a book of local folktales / legends. It will fill the place with things you recognize faster than any guide book. Stories are attached to landscape even when they don't seem to be.
Big rumblings in the expansion of the #Fediverse have been happening recently.
#Tumblr has already promised to implement #ActivityPub (the protocol Mastodon uses), which will mean you can follow Tumblr accounts from here and vice versa. And today we a learning that #Flickr is also considering it!
This will be a massive expansion, which obviously carries some uncertainties, but I, for one, welcome our new federation partners.
This is the way the internet is supposed to work.

Held a #writing workshop for #Writers League of TX today. Great interactions & discussions. Took a reeeally deep dive into #writingvoice (more specifically, word choice) and how each word should serve an end—to smuggle more ideas into the reader’s brain. That really stuck w/ me, & so I’m running w/ it:
