There are a lot of fan essays and videos about "Lord of the Rings" theories. And these are fun, but it troubles me how many of these worry on questions along the lines of: "Why did Gandalf and the others leave the dangerous task of taking the ring to Mordor to the small hobbit Frodo?"
Makes me wonder if they understood the books at all? Am I being harsh?
I thought this was... kind of obvious and basic to the whole plot?
