I look for bad weather and pretty places for fun. I work to make our country better every day at work. I have really terrible jokes.
This #supercell in SW Oklahoma was in the beginning stages of tornadogenesis. You can see that area in the bottom area of the storm that looks more laminar (smooth). You get that smoothness due to falling pressures forcing condensation, and it’s usually the visual cue I use to recognize that a tornado is imminent. There are usually other prominent signs before this, leading up to the big moment…but this is absolutely the moment I usually say, “Tornado imminent” on video.
Gosh this was just an epic day in E. New Mexico last Autumn. Ready to give this type of a day a go again soon! #weather #storm #NewMexico

Nature's Fury Unleashed: Five Unforgettable Storm Chases

This video compilation showcases five memorable storm chasing experiences spanning a decade. It features intense storm chases from late spring storm seasons, primarily in May, with one April chase included. These selected days likely highlight some of the most dramatic and visually stunning storms I've encountered.

Great week of monsoon chasing. Now it is time to start preparing for the upcoming year. Good ideas, good directions. Now it’s time to laser in, focus, and get stuff moving.
Every supercell is an amazing work of art visually from nature. I’ve seen some of the most amazing landscapes on earth, but a supercell makes them all seem small and static. Storms make mountains look tiny, and their constant evolution makes landscapes seem like the easiest thing in the world to capture on camera. You are constantly adjusting with storms and coming up with shots on the fly. It’s something I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of. #weather #nature #photography

Monsoon storms with a bit of a shelf if you look close enough from last week in New Mexico. Think it'll be the weekend before I add some more days to my count this summer. #weather #nature #photography #naturephotography
