I’ve been nominated as a Cosplay Star at the*gamehers Awards 2026!
The Awards have 10 different categories for various kinds of remarkable gamer women, from streamers and educators to game industry professionals and community leaders. There are some seriously impressive, amazing people among the nominees, and it’s quite an honour to be listed among them.
You can cast your vote for any and all nominees you like in the*gamehers App by the 31st of March 2026.
I’ve made 15 Amiga related costumes so far (yes, Chris Huelsbeck counts!).
I first cosplayed an Amiga game character nearly 12 years ago. Back then I used to cosplay from other source materials too, mainly from indie games and old sci-fi series. Since Amiga37, I’ve focused exclusively on Amiga/retro game costumes, and I intend to continue this way.
The photos were taken by Joni Halonen (Turrican suits), TLF (Razor, Bubby, Lester, LeChuck) and void256 (the rest).
The newest issue of Retro Gamer (2/2026, German edition) is out. It features, among so many other things, an interview with yours truly. This had been in the works for a long time, and I’m happy with the result. I’m very grateful for the opportunity and their interest in my work ❤️
Look behind you, a two-headed squirrel!
Meet David and Peapod, an upgrade to my Zak McKracken cosplay. They’re my first posable art doll, made from scratch. This project took me nearly 100 crafting hours.
By now I’ve grown very fond of these guys, even if they look like they’ll murder anyone who gets between them and some peanuts. They’ve made sure that my Zak costume will get some more convention time this year.
The year is ending soon, so it’s time for a recap of my 2025.
I finished 3 new Amiga costumes in 2025. One of them is my biggest cosplay project to date: The Machine from Turrican 2&3. I also made 2 smaller costumes: the ‘90s alt Lemming and Zak McKracken.
I visited 5 events this year. Amiga40 and VCFSO25 were the most notable and interesting ones for me.
I also graduated and got another degree this year. I now have a BA in Design.
Here’s hoping for a pleasant 2026!
Here’s one more photo of my Zak McKracken cosplay. I’m currently making an additional prop for this costume, namely the two-headed squirrel!

Game over.
The Machine was my 13th #Amiga #cosplay. The design is a mix of the intros of Turrican 2&3 and inspiration from other sources, mainly the classic Borg.
This is my biggest costume project to date: it took 980 crafting hours over 1 year. The armour is made of EVA foam and a whole lot of bits and pieces like old computer chips and cellphone parts.
The #Turrican helmet prop is from my 2nd Turrican suit that I made in 2016.
The photo was taken by void256 and edited by me.
