What happens when every time your browser sends data to a tracker it makes a beep sound? Well, @bert_hubert did just that. And it sounds like you are listening to an old school modem. Creepy stuff! https://berthub.eu/articles/posts/tracker-beeper/
Tracker Beeper - Bert Hubert's writings

A week ago, I finally got round to implementing an idea I’d been toying with for years: what if your computer made a little bit of noise every time it sent data to Google? From studying logs, I’d long known just how many sites send all your visits and clicks to (at least) Google, but a log that you have to manually create first and then analyze is not very dramatic.

Orca security researchers disclosed that AWS and Google Cloud CLIs are exposed to the exact same Microsoft Azure CLI vulnerability that risked exposing credentials in logs. Dubbed LeakyCLI, some commands on AWS CLI and Gcloud CLI can expose sensitive information, in the form of environment variables, which can be collected by adversaries when published by tools such as GitHub Actions. There is no CVE ID assigned to the AWS and Gcloud versions of this vulnerability. πŸ”— https://orca.security/resources/blog/leakycli-aws-google-cloud-command-line-tools-can-expose-sensitive-credentials-build-logs/

We've released #PuTTY version 0.81. This is a SECURITY UPDATE, fixing a #vulnerability in ECDSA signing for #SSH.

If you've used a 521-bit ECDSA key (ecdsa-sha2-nistp521) with any previous version of PuTTY, consider it compromised! Generate a new key pair, and remove the old public key from authorized_keys files.

Other key types are not affected, even other sizes of ECDSA. In particular, Ed25519 is fine.

This vulnerability has id CVE-2024-31497. Full information is at https://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/wishlist/vuln-p521-bias.html
