Today I walked past the bank in London (Islington) where I opened my first (I only have two) bank account back in 2013.
It was the beggining of the hostile migration environment with Theresa May as Home Secretary. I, as a international student was not allowed to open bank accounts. It was just luck, chance or whatever.

In 2025, people with no legal migration status can't open bank accounts. However, they can using virtual banks like Monzo.

My recent situationship used to express his disgust for London. This was my start to start seeing it as the great city it is and my place in it. On my way to the nightclub last Sat it was cool to be given a lift by my English friend, then seeing all the diaspora communities minding their own business.
I danced with Slavic friends to reggaeton and techno.
There must me something, besides accumulation of wealth, that brings an array of diversity and expressions in this dystopian future.
