Arch Linux pulls AUR packages that installed Chaos RAT malware
[...] Arch Linux has pulled three malicious packages uploaded to the Arch User Repository (AUR) were used to install the CHAOS remote access trojan (RAT) on Linux devices.
If you own a computing device outright, you should be able to make any level of software modification you desire. hardware manufacturers should not be allowed to absolutely restrict distribution of software to their own channels under the guise of safety.

Dear R package developers: question on how to ignore directories when building a package.
Suppose I have a directory 'package/' containing typical R-package directories like 'R', 'man', etc. Let's say that in 'package/' I also have a directory X that I'd like to be *completely* ignored by R's package builder as well as by `devtools::install()`. How do I achieve this? – I can call X whatever you like.
Despite having put all possible kinds of pattern in '.Rbuildignore' in order to exclude X, and also having tried to name "X" according to patterns or names listed in `tools:::get_exclude_patterns()` and in `tools:::.hidden_file_exclusions()`, I see that `R CMD build` still goes into X and complains about files there ("cp: cannot stat...").
A web search has not led to solutions: most of them mention '.Rbuildignore', but clearly there's more going on here...
Cheers!
My fellow CachyOS users...are you having issues with external drives not automounting? I'm having to manually add them to fstab; is there some fix to make it mount at plugin?
Edit: nvm, I got it. :)
We're absolutely thrilled to announce a new era of high-speed syncing for the open source ecosystem!
DAVx⁵ 4.5 will ship with full Push support (instant sync) for your Contacts, Events & Tasks!
We've worked on this for almost 3yrs from the first line of writing a draft for a (hopefully new) standard, to the work on a @nextcloud extension until the final DAVx5 implementation.
