My kid has gotten in to drawing and painting lately. He gets frustrated that his attempts don’t turn out the way he imagined, so we’ve talked a lot about the gap between what we can do and what we want to do, and the only way to close that gap is to practise.

Because I need to take my own damn advice, we did some watercolour together this morning 😊

every time I fork out for one of these Grimms wooden toys it is an expensive gamble, but once again it is paying off.

With one of my children that is. The other has no interest. YMMV. They certainly do look pretty on the shelf 🌈
