Devs on both sides of an API were adamant nothing had changed.

curl casually indicated the server doing the 403 response was awselb/2.0

So not the API endpoint, not the devs making the request.
It’s a computer in the middle that decided requests without user-agent would get 403.

At least the requesting devs worked that out to get things back up and running.

I asked Plex a bunch of questions about its data breach of user account information, but the company wouldn't say why it hasn't force-reset its users' passwords and is instead asking users to do it, or said how and to what degree it scrambled those passwords.
