okay so I've been trying @vernissage for a bit over a week now and it seems to be almost exactly what i needed + the fact that it's ActivityPub-federated is a nice cherry on top

However, lack of Android app or ability to create albums/collections of images is a bit of a bummer, but I can live without it. Overall the service is really decent for photography-first use and that's what matters
