@boeckli @[email protected] I was born in 68, I am not a historian just old. She came up through the disco clubs, that was her sound. There was a huge backlash against gay and black culture in the 80s the “disco is dead!” movement. That era halted or slowed a lot of careers. Many survived off live performances and promoting records through clubs…radio wasn’t playing it anymore. Disco just morphed into house and techno and Donna wasn’t invited. We remixed Cher, Stevie, Patti but not Donna.
