"average Patriots player has won 1 super bowl" factoid actually just statistical error. Average Patriots player has won 0 super bowls. Tom Brady, who has won more super bowls as a player than any NFL franchise has as a team, is an outlier adn should not have been counted
@foone I wonder if you could do some sort of automatic detection for variant QWERTY layouts, like Ñ is on latin american keyboards where US keyboards have semicolon, and Swedish keyboards have Å to the right of P and äö to the right of L
y'know for all the talk about "no gods no masters" I think we need gods. without gods, we cannot blaspheme. there's no "oh for christ's sake" without christ
@gzt Nimitz was mildly startled by me reaching for the phone behind me to take the pictures, but settled back down soon enough
@AmyZenunim all your ancient memes are belong to us
@vartan and off-by-one errors
@catgirl_so I think there is a 99% probability that humans, in a far-off future on some space station in deep space light-years from the nearest star, will still set their clocks forward and back an hour according to a set schedule despite having no idea why

@0xabad1dea this reminds me of the line in Celeste about how Theo is from the *Magical*, *faraway* land of...

Seattle

An ideal pickup line, to me, is one that has a chance of establishing a rapport over a shared interest, while not coming across as *too* weird/creepy in the event the other person doesn't actually share that interest.

For example:
"You remind me of the babe."

For another example:
"Hey, did you know the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV Online has an expanded free trial up to level 70, now including the award-winning Heavensward and Stormblood expansions, with no restrictions on playtime?"
