Alarming how rapidly the bird site’s owner seeks to elevate false information to win adulation from the authoritarian anti-democratic far-right using a stance of self-aggrandizing false neutrality. The advancements made in the past few years fighting the information war online to defend a democracy in recession have all but been erased. The bird site will not be the source of ground truth that it could have become. There is a tiny possibility there might be more to this story than meets the eye.
