3/4 Magic part #3:
-> The MATE desktop app ties everything together 🤯
-> Claude acts as an orchestrator across all apps at once
"Connected design tools" are not coming. They are here.
2/4 Magic part #1:
-> Via MATE, Claude also connects to Photoshop 🤯-> Generates an image, saves it, places it directly into your InDesign document
Magic part #2:
-> Claude connects to Illustrator 🤯
-> Generates a background pattern and drops it straight into the layout
Claude + MATE just controlled InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator simultaneously.
Everyone's posting about connecting Claude to Figma and "Paper." MATE users have had this since 2 years. But I wanted to try the new MCP approach anyway. The result is wild.

[UPDATE] ⚡️ MATE for InDesign - now with GPT-5.4
Less than 24 hours after release, GPT-5.4 has landed in MATE for InDesign (thanks to the Adobe review team!).
GPT-5.4 is amazing.
It's fast!
It's as good as Claude Opus 4.6 (imho).

On Twitter Nick Harris asked if there is a way to export group layers in Photoshop. Yes, with MATE for Photoshop.
Watch for yourself.
I could have asked for a certain naming scheme or export to another location. Or only use certain groups.
As a test, I let MATE produce a poster design in "Swiss style".
What's really interesting is that it starts taking snapshots and giving recommendations on the design... are we discussing design with AI now?
I always said, "AI has no taste." I'm not sure if that will still hold.
