Here's a great mod by Redditor u/DLCan. It's meant to be a "minimalist" mod, designed for comfort so that the user can reach all of the buttons without moving their hand.

You can find STEP files and full assembly instructions on u/DLCan's Github repository, here: https://github.com/MrGrumpyMcGrumpster/adept-trackball-minimal-mod/tree/master/hardware/mechanicals-minimal-mod

And the original Reddit post is here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ploopy/comments/1rqdidf/minamal_adept_mod_is_now_online/

Thanks, u/DLCan!

This haptic feedback mod of the Ploopy Knob was built by u/Available-Mall-5253 on Reddit. It's an implementation of the hpatic mod originally designed by u/tuxedomakes. It's printed in a snazzy partially translucent plastic, which makes it look a bit like a Gameboy from 1997, so it's obviously awesome.

Thanks for the pictures, u/Available-Mall-5253!

Here's a great post about the Adept from Ryan Heisler: https://blog.ryanheisler.com/blog/ploopy-adept/customize-ploopy-adept.html

He discusses customizing the Adept to suit his personal needs, including flipping the Adept 180 degrees. He's also publicized his code changes, so anybody is free to learn from his work.

Thanks for the blog post, Ryan!

This great #Ploopy Adept build was showcased by KnuckleDF on the Ploopy Discord server. He used the files from the popular "Anyball" mod to make his build, added a SANWA 44mm ball, and smoothed out the buttons using an old soldering iron tip.

Looks like a great addition to a great setup!

This incredible #Ploopy Adept mod is called the Adept Go, and it was made by @michaelthatsit. It's smaller, with a flat design, and can accommodate a smaller ball. It's meant to be taken on-the-go!

This gorgeous wooden Ploopy Knob was made by u/tuxedomakes on Reddit. It's milled out of a solid piece of maple wood, and looks fantastic. If you're interested in one of your own, you can pick one up from his Ko-Fi store!

This great build was contributed by redditor u/zodduska. The keyboard is a RAMA M60-A. The trackball is a Ploopy Adept with an Anyball mod. They also have a stylish Ploopy Knob to finish out their setup. Thanks, u/zodduska!

Redditor u/WildHorses36 contributed this great design for a carrying case for the Adept (also pictured is their cool mod to raise the buttons to make them easier to reach). This is a fairly common request, and this one is a real beauty. Completed 3D-printed, too, so you can make your own!
