Another repair success! The batteries on these headphones lasted for about two songs. Replaced them and now everything is good again.
Given the constraints of this product category I was pleasantly surprised how easy this repair was. The "hardest" part was patiently lifting the parts apart so that the sticky pads between them have a chance to detach without breaking apart.

I fixed a thing! Well, three things actually.
The fake leather on my kitchen chairs was disintegrating, so I sewed new covers for them.
The picture shows the first chair I fixed next to another that came later.
Side effects may include cursing, unseaming the same goddamn seam for the fourth time and the desire to apply a staple gun to ALL THE THINGS.
Have you ever noticed how the little tap/hook at the end of a tape measure can move back and forth a little?
This is not shoddy build tolerances, this is intentional.
It is so that you read the correct value both when you hook the end of the tape measure to an edge, as well as when you push it against something.
