for decentralisation to be a feature, you have to have been burnt so hard that you never think about anything else ever again, and certainly not all the ways it makes your product suck.
mastodon works surprisingly well given how much it cripples itself with the side effects of decentralisation.
i can see the point of decentralisation, but even giving it a name tells you that it's the loser. the un-winning alternative you need.
