As with all previous versions, this has been our best effort until the next release. We've dedicated all available resources to making it a functional, beautiful, and most importantly, 100% Free distribution.

Trisquel 12.0 "Ecne" is released — a fully free GNU/Linux distribution based on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, endorsed by the Free Software Foundation.
Key highlights:
- APT 3.0 with modern deb822 repository format
- ungoogled-chromium and IceCat now available in repositories
- Revised AppArmor rules for better desktop security
- Supported until May 2029
