what does it do? it does some god-awful special-case hacks to make it look like they made LLMs do a good job at code when in fact it just keeps trying and trying and trying until it makes something that compiles. haaahahahahahahahaha

Rho Oof - Software Engineer

Brief Description of Rho's Professional Experience

merry trans day of visibility, and to all, a good gender
Something I think about a lot is when I posted something on here critical of genAI, and soon after got a text from a very talented friend who I look up to saying that they had been thinking the same thing, but didn’t want to say anything publicly for fear of negatively affecting their career by criticising genAI.

I was on the fence about seeing Project Hail Mary so thanks to Andy Weir for not understanding a fucking thing about Star Trek and making that decision for me.

I think it's reasonable to have Star Trek shows you don't like (I have no time for Enterprise). But if you think this, you just don't like Star Trek.

i have found where james dobson was buried. i may have a mission.
(and of course recommendations that involve a NAS or other human-managed server are... missing the point. sure, _i_ can do that, but i am a Nerd. and this only helps if i want to share files with A Fellow Nerd.)
you know something? while there is no technical reason file sharing between two devices should be hard, it is. the UX is, like, the only problem there, but it is a pretty big one. i can't help but feel like that should be fixed.
