I’m curious of the modern planning of the “15-minute” cities, and how they’re different than what Sweden tried with the (horrid and soulless) ABC-neighborhoods of the 70s. What specifically has been learned to make sure the modern versions of 15 minute cities can balance forced structure vs human needs?

I’ve got a daughter. I’m crazy about her - she’s everything to me. But I don’t want more kids - people say ”it’s also more for them to have a sibling”. Honestly, I’m not sure I can be the dad I want to be if there’s one more in the mix. I already feel I can’t give the attention to our little dog as much as I’d like, much less to another human.

I was never keen on my own siblings growing up, but my wife loves that she’s got a sister and they’re super close. I don’t know - what y’all think?

I wonder if it would be an interesting experiment to make it nearly illegal to say which person a political party would nominate at president/prime minister.

They would have to market their party and party platform for the upcoming election. No ”vote for me” anymore - vote for a party or coalition, who presents a platform. Various representatives from the parties in question can debate, but it would be entirely uninteresting who they are - all there is, is the platform. #politics
