OK, I owe an apology to Play’s author, as this is not correct. The Shortcuts continue to work, but you have to launch Play first for it to note the existence of the previous purchase (until then the Shortcut gives the "requires Premium" error). And then there is apparently a bug where the newly added entries (via Shortcuts) do not appear in the list, making it appear that the Shortcuts continue to not work, but they do, they just don't appear until a refresh. So that is just a bug. My apologies.
More than a little disappointed that the latest update to Play, which I purchased when Daring Fireball recommended it, removed the Shortcuts feature of adding videos from Youtube and placed it behind a Premium firewall. It's hardly a "one time purchase" if you then remove features and make you pay for them again.

How is it that if I open a pdf in Safari, I can search and it finds things in order, but in Preview it returns results in random order. Bizarre.
oh look, their contact page has an email address to report web problems - anyone want to put money on that email address bouncing?
The Internet really is amazing. But also endlessly frustrating.
Reading some documentation for a companies product, and it has a link to more information. Follow the link. 404 - but it has a nice form to report the issue and ask fur further help. So I fill that in with details of the issue. And submit it to get another Page not found error.
Sigh.
The new Netflix AppleTV video player is so bad it has me considering canceling Netflix for the first time. Well, technically, adding Netflix to my rotation with all the other video subscription services - keeping a few of them active at any time and rotating the others out. To date I've never been inclined to cancel Netflix, it's combination of vast range and reasonable quality have kept me subscribed. But the new player? Terrible!
