So just so we're clear, my iPhone running last years iOS and I get to choose: Upgrade to Ugly Glass or risk exposing basically everything on the phone including passwords to any web site. Wow, that's really an impressive new low for Apple.
In some rare good news: $50m plan to double the number of public EV chargers | RNZ News:
"The government is providing interest free loans of $52.7 million to two companies to boost the number of electric vehicle public chargers around the country.
The zero-interest loans will go to ChargeNet and Meridian Energy, who are investing $60m in capital, and would see 2574 new charge points, 1374 DC fast chargers and 1200 AC chargers.
The move will more than double the country's chargers, to around 4550. "

RNZAm I the only one who sees the irony (and childishly large corner radii) in this post? The damn things (rounded corners) are everywhere and Liquid Glass is just a particularly egregious example).
🚨AN ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE STAT: The amount that's already been spent on just two weeks of the Iran War is more than the government estimate of the cost of a paid family/medical leave program covering every single private-sector worker in America.

The Aid Cuts Before The Iran Missile Strikes
The Pentagon has blown through $24 billion bombing Iran so far. Here’s what that money could have been spent on instead.
The LeverI enjoyed Project Hail Mary. If you've never read the book, and enjoyed The Martian, I highly recommend the book (excellent) or the movie (very good), and recommend you do not watch the trailer and go in unspoilt as the book/movie is all about the progressive discovery, and from all accounts the trailer gives away far too much.
I remain convinced that Purchases with Paid Upgrades is the best alignment of interests for the developer and customers.
Its a bit ridiculous that you have to pay for privacy of a domain name. Imagine if every other company required you to pay them not to publish all your details on the web…?
If anyone wants to know how to transfer Google Authenticate codes to Passwords it is: Export from Google Authenticator (reveals QR code), transfer QR code to Mac, use qrtool (homebrew) to decode the URL, open -a Passwords THEURL, import the password code into Passwords, quit & relaunch Passwords so the imported code shows up. I'm sure there must be a better way, but this process kinda works…
Has anyone actually got Visual Studio Code/Mac working with Arduino and board management and compiling and programming?
Fitness has got to be one of the most buggy apps - Fitness is like one of Apple’s core pillars (especially on the watch, but also on the phone) and yet it does crap like this. Showing Saturday, with 0/1000KJ, and yet the hourly graph shows all sorts of activity. How exactly does that transpire?
