Treating every religion's texts as though that religion has the same relationship with its texts is bad. That is a bad thing to do. It's both factually wrong on its face, and it is uncurious, it is *willfully ignorant* to do so. You are treating Islam like it is protestant Christianity. It is not protestant Christianity.
