With the return of the caravan participants, we will now close this ticker. Even though this part of the journey is coming to an end, the struggle for Rojava and for a truly democratic society will continue. Kobane is still under siege and the agreement still has not been implemented. The achievements of the women's revolution remain at stake.
We need to give our full attention to the situation and raise our voices in defense of the revolution. We will see you at the next actions—whether in Europe, Abya Yala, Kurdistan, or other parts of the world. Our struggle is international! ✌️

Declaration of the Peoples’ Caravan to Defend Humanity and the Peoples’ Democratic Congress (HDK):

We defend Rojava – We defend humanity! Together, we will expand our struggles – The Peoples Caravan

"Aware that the revolution in Rojava faced an existential threat, hundreds of thousands of people around the world assumed responsibility for its defense. They defended not only the revolution in Rojava, but humanity, the hope for a democratic society, the liberation of women, and the possibility of a peaceful and ecological life"
‼️ At least 92 people were arrested today in a nationwide crackdown on left-wing activists in Turkey. Among them also - again - journalists and lawyers
Koçyiğit calls all this “institutionalized impunity for violence against Kurds, opposition figures, and women.”
Koçyiğit paid particular attention to the condition of Diyar Koç, who had been severely mistreated during his arrest in Nisêbîn. Despite being diagnosed with a brain hemorrhage and various broken bones, he was remanded in custody on suspicion of terrorism while still undergoing treatment at a local hospital. Several prisons had refused to admit him due to his critical state of health. He was eventually transferred to the Sincan Prison Hospital
Deputy chair of the DEM party, Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit, spoke at a press conference in the Turkish parliament about the systematic attacks by Turkish police and military during demonstrations. According to Koçyiğit, at least 550 people were arrested and around 80 were detained. Among those affected were media workers and minors.
‼️Last week in Turkey 10 lawyers were sentenced to 11 years and 3 month prison by the highest court for supporting Kurdish prisoners in receiving medical aid and legal support. They were accused of "membership in a terrorist organization".
For four days, Turkish authorities have been blocking the passage of a convoy of 25 trucks carrying aid to the besieged northern Syrian city of Kobanê. The vehicles, loaded with water, baby food, clothing, and other essential goods, were assembled in Amed (tr. Diyarbakır) and have been standing still at a rest stop near Pirsûs (Suruç) since their arrival—without permission to continue their journey. This is why it needs all eyes on Kobanê. We must continue to raise awareness for the situation!
