Today I tested navigation on #OnePlus6t with #postmarketOS and #PureMaps.
The start wasn't promising. It took about 2 minutes for the device to pinpoint my location via GPS.
After that slow start, it was smooth sailing. GPS tracking was very precise and comparable to OsmAnd. Although while stationary the GPS isn't the most accurate, I can confirm that once moving, navigation works perfectly.
Which smartphone is the best?
The one with the best camera, the sharpest display, the fastest SoC, or maybe the biggest battery and the latest shiny features?
No.
The best smartphone is the one that respects its user, the one that gives you control and freedom.
And that’s any device that can run postmarketOS, or Mobian.
I'm seriously impressed by how beautiful and polished GNOME Mobile is. For me, it's the current winner for the best Linux smartphone UI.
What's your favorite mobile Linux interface?
Gradia is perfect for annotating screenshots and images on Linux smartphones!
Is anyone out there using Xiaomi Mi 9T with postmarketOS?
What’s the experience like? What works and what doesn’t?
Especially curious about calls, battery, camera, and audio.
Which of these two smartphones should I buy to run postmarketOS?
