How to turn on #Lockdown Mode on iPhone or iPad
1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap Privacy & Security.
3. Scroll down, tap Lockdown Mode, then tap Turn On Lockdown Mode.
4. Tap Turn On Lockdown Mode.
5. Tap Turn On & Restart, then enter your device passcode.
The FBI has been unable to access Washington Post reporter Hannah Natanson’s iPhone so far because it’s protected by Lockdown Mode.

Lockdown Mode is a sometimes overlooked feature of Apple devices that broadly make them harder to hack. A court record indicates the feature might be effective at stopping third parties unlocking someone's device. At least for now.
