It took me some time to get into this game. With Returnal I at least had the atmosphere that kept me engaged in the first hours while I tried to wrap my head around the mechanics. With Saros I wasn’t feeling it at first but when it clicked (after the second boss) I loved it.

Resident Evil 4 Remake

Two RE games in one month! After my RE9 playthrough I was in the right mood and it was on sale. I really liked this one, too. I played it on standard difficulty because this is less scary. Those sequences with Ashley got annoying fast. What a relief every time she was kidnapped again! I think im done with RE for a while now. (Except for that Zach Cregger movie that’s coming…)

Main reasons for playing this game are obviously its amazing style and presentation. It looks really cool. Gameplay and story are fine. There are a few frustratingly placed checkpoints but no major annoyances. Combat's nice with some good ideas for a sidescroller.

Resident Evil Requiem

I wasn’t planning on playing this but the opportunity came up. The last time I played a RE title was RE4 on the GameCube, I think. But I kinda know the story up until this one.
I had fun playing it (on casual because I’m a wimp) but the boss fights were kinda lame. Still fun though.

Shadow Of The Colossus

I came into a foreign land, slaughtered 16 colossi and crippled my horse to resurrect some girl so she could become my mother?
Could someone please put that horse out of its misery?
I really struggled with the controls and the camera but really enjoyed most of the fights. Except 2 or 3 weaker ones. And FUCK that last one! I can’t tell how many times I had to climb that fucker because I fell all the way down!

I can’t really say anything about the story but the presentation of this game is just unbelievably good! All those weird godlike things you encounter and the fatalities you get if you stun an enemy!
