Update: The vessels surrounding the Flotilla have left for now it sounds like! Hope they can continue their journey to Gaza unimpeded.

The Freedom Flotilla is apparently surrounded by Israeli boats right now. Everyone aboard the ship is unarmed and only carrying health supplies to give to the civilians, including the many many children, in Palestine, who are being purposely starved of resources by Israel. I hope they make it out alright. This is terrifying. This is a war crime.

Hey y'all, just popping over to flag that the NYC mayoral election is THIS MONTH and there's a leftist candidate Zohran Mamdani who looks really promising, and has gotten actual change for labor, transit, and clean energy before. He's running on a platform of affordability centered around workers and much more, you can read about it here: https://www.zohranfornyc.com/platform.

Zohran is the candidate I wish we had the option to elect in San Francisco. If you're a New Yorker or lived in New York, there's plenty of canvassing and phonebanking that needs to be done before election day June 24th. Consider joining if you can!
