It ain't much, but it's honest work. Obviously still a work in progress until I add the most basic stuff. I’ll continue adding new content I discover myself and will try to include all Dub Dub content over the upcoming weeks.

Yesterday I published a blogpost about the current matcha situation. It is written from my personal experience and perspective working as a tea farmer. There are many other approaches and perspectives that I am willing to listen to. Just putting my unstructured opinion out there.

This is the second year of the blog and it’s time to reflect on how the year has passed. I’d also like to look ahead and share my wishes for the upcoming season.
This past year has been both challenging personally and professionally. One of the highlights of the season was moving to Japan in September 2023 to work on a tea farm. I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll continue to be involved in tea here in Wazuka, a tea village in the southern part of Kyoto Prefecture.

Last winter I had the idea to start a blog where I could write about technology. I even wrote a first article and then forgot about it during the spring harvest. Today I remembered and finished setting up a website for it. I even got the motivation to wrote a piece on the upcoming bilingual keyboards coming to iOS and iPadOS later this year.

Shikoku is one of my favourite places in Japan and this trip to Kamikatsu in the Tokushima prefecture make it even better than before. Kamikatsu is a beautiful village in the mountains of Shikoku. You you ever need a break from the concrete jungles of the big cities this is a great spot to explore.

The tea tradition of the area, Awabancha will surely surprise you.
