I think this is my favourite hand tool (vintage Stanley combination plane for making grooves). When it's properly (razor!) sharp, it does this job with minimal effort, and the sound it makes is gorgeous 😁. Bought second hand from EBay like most of my best quality tools.

Paul Sellers is (genuinely) my absolute hero. I have learned hand-tool woodworking from him by following his fantastic, generous lessons on youtube for years. Very sad to see him introducing AI to the craft of woodworking 🥲
