Just published, the book Transversal Interlacings: Artistic Research in Film and Philosophy, edited by Christine Reeh-Peters and Stefan Winter, by Cambridge Scholars, to which I was lucky to offer a contribution about my work as an artist and academic in collaboration with film museums.

Bittersweet, finalizing my four years as advisor at Stimuleringsfonds, within the Digital Cultures commission. I loved working with everyone involved while observing a changing focus from seeking innovation in the field to taking a critical standpoint in the face of big tech’s indiscriminate power overhaul. I believe the fund will give continuity to a responsible societal engagement with technologies of production and control. @stimuleringsfonds
Almost there. Finalizing Becoming Opaque, my new installation film, commissioned by EYE film museum. It will be shown during a group exhibition at the museum with artists working with the colonial archive, curated by Hicham Khalidi and opening on March 13. More information to follow.
Post about my contribution to the Slow Technology Reader, organized by Carolyn Strauss and published by Valiz Books @[email protected] @valiz_books
It’s here! This seminal volume put together by Carolyn Strauss and published by @valiz_books on resisting the present social and political debacle promoted by big tech, and proposing actual strategies for collective action. Happy to be included in this incredible line up of writers, thinkers, artists and activists.
Yesterday’s presentation in Filmhuis The Hague was great, with a very involved discussion with the public moderated by Ghamte Schmidt (curator programming at Central Museum The Hague). Thank you all for coming and debating how to decolonize mainstream film archives and their colonial collections.
