सच्चा हिंदू कौन है इसका सर्टिफिकेट अब (alleged) आतंकवादी देंगे.

Realised I just feel more upbeat when there's an important sporting event going on.

To wake up knowing there's at least three hours of football to watch every day, along with two Test series', is a beautiful feeling.

What would I do without sports?!

Wonderful interview of P Sainath on NDTV about his upcoming book on the foot soldiers of India's freedom struggle.

"We fought for two things: freedom and independence. We only got independence."

Video | Pick Your Savarkar, Don't Forget Foot Soldiers: P Sainath

Noted journalist and author of 'The Last Heroes', P Sainath speaks to NDTV exclusively about the need to chronicle the stories of foot soldiers of the Indian freedom movement. He also takes on the stories and controversies surrounding VD Savarkar and Tipu Sultan. He says, "One can pick their own Savarkar, but must not forget the foot soldiers."

I attended the Rory Peck Awards ceremony last night in London, where I was nominated for the Martin Adler Prize -- supported by the Embassy of Sweden.

I ended up as a runner-up. Mohammed Alamin from Sudan won the award.

Check out his incredible work.

It was an honor to be nominated for an award that goes to one independent journalist in the world.

Humbling to be in a room full of brave and passionate journalists, and a privilege to have my work exhibited alongside theirs.

Ben Stokes is an all time great white ball player. Has that been-there-done-that air about him. Puts his hand up on the biggest stage.

That's what players are remembered for at the end of the day. Class act.

PS: watch the documentary about him.

So good to be back in London

Twitter has no doubt been a toxic place.

But as a freelancer, when your work doesn't appear in mainstream media, twitter has been extremely useful in plugging stories and connecting with journalists.

I'd be sad to see the hellsite going down.

With Twitter on the verge of implosion, planning to be more active here.

My Sunday feature for Mumbai Mirror, where I write about a different kind of quarantine
Five years in a hotel room

How two Pakistani nationals, stuck in India for a prolonged court case, paid the price for the fractured relationship between the two countries.

Stranded migrant workers sleeping in city streets. Police beating curfew-breakers. Fruits & veggies rotting in markets. Livelihoods of Informal laborers wiped out.

@SBengali & I report in LA Times

For many in India, the biggest concern isn't coronavirus. It's hunger

A three-week lockdown affecting 1.3 billion people has unleashed chaos as stranded migrant workers sleep in streets and police beat curfew-breakers.
