Me, many moons back. Happy in the middle of mud! With a scrapper in my hand and starting to clean a wall. This was an excavation back in 2007 (15 years ago!!!!!!!!!) that exposed a Tsunami sand layer from the 1755 Mega Quake and Tsunami ! Sent to me by a catalan friend that I meet that day!
🚨🚨Tomorrow LAST DAY to submit!!🚨🚨
If your research includes quantifying long-term #landscape processes rates and/or timings of geomorphic and geologic #ExtremeEvents using any #geochronology methods, submit to our InquaRoma2023
session!
Not sure if this was the 1st Covid outbreak in Antartica, but what I want to emphasize is 3 years later and yet here we are. It seems that even educated and science knowledge people have difficulty controlling it (This said I contracted it attending a conference and relaxing about the mask use)
I study #Paleoseismology, and #EarthquakeGeology. To study the faults and earthquakes that happened decades, centuries, or thousands of years back, we generally do excavations. These will expose the sediments and rocks deformed allowing us to infer how much deformation a given earthquake caused, its likely magnitude, and when did it happen. Thus, telling us how BIG and FREQUENT earthquakes can be on that fault (at that location). This is much needed to help understand hazards and mitigate risk.
No. Actually my first though is "Earthquake?!?!?!"
Marcelo (Portugal's president) is an idiot!. He actually threatened a minister for no good reason publicly and MORE IMPORTANT he has absolutely no power to throw her out of office. Just a pathetic little creature that thinks very highly of himself.
