Rain this Memorial Weekend won’t stop me enjoying myself. I have music, books and coffee and can grill under an umbrella if need be. Bring it!

Been a tough day for the dog.

Sitting on the front porch completely engulfed by the glorious fragrance of this lovely lilac.

I love native plants, but this is one of only two non-native plants in my yard, and it earns its keep every year.

I’ve just now put two and two together and Caladan Brood, the amazing but short-lived black metal band, take their name and songs from this set of books. Kinda cool.
The local weather forecast tonight was literally “It will rain somewhere”. Lol.

So The Arse actually crawled over the line to win the Premier League title. They looked like they were gonna blow it but fair play, that’s an incredible achievement. Good to see another team win the league.

These overnight rains are a real boon for the garden. And it is spectacular outside atm. Rain drops cover everything, and they are dripping from the leaves of the plants and trees. The sunlight catches each and every drop and every one is a world unto itself.
