Mobile killing units (Einsatzgruppen) operated in the German-occupied territories of Eastern Europe during World War II. This is a rare film showing a mobile killing unit during a massacre carried out by its members in Liepaja, Latvia. The film was filmed by a German soldier, against orders from above that prohibited such filming. Before the war, the Jewish population of Liepaja numbered over 7,000.
