Woke up tired. Stayed tired. Went to bed tired. But my toddler is thriving, so there’s that.

She’s two.
We blew out candles, sang off-key, and watched her say “I’m two!” with fingers she’s still learning to hold up.
And in the middle of the joy, I felt it—the quiet knowing: I won’t have more babies.

Not a desperate ache. Just a soft one.
A quiet grief for the baby I won’t have, while fiercely loving the two I do.
