Towards even more independence from the car… Taking my new bicycle trailer from Radical Design on its premiere trip to work. The plan is to drop off some accumulated items at the local civic amenity site later this afternoon, and then join the Critical Mass ride in Ljubljana.
The ride was incredibly smooth – I barely even noticed the extra 15+ kg behind me! And what a luxury to park directly in my office, haha

Although winter with it's inverions in the #Ljubljana basin is slowly crawling away, it is still important to remind people that the winter air in Ljubljana is often bad and unhealthy. We did just this yesterday at #LjubljanskaKolesarskaMreža, certain that there are plently of ways to make things better. I am sure that what is being done at municipal and governmental is not enough and it is sometimes even a step in the wrong direction.

New android application to calculate modal split has been just published on f-droid: "rue:barbe". It offers a simple interface to count passing road users directly on the street.

How getting a Brompton affected my cycling statistics?

While 2025 hasn't been oustanding compared to 2024 in terms of distance cycled (5949 km in 2025, 6111 km in 2024), getting a #Brompton at the end of Dec 2024 affected my cycling statistics in a different way – Brompton+trains became my main mode of transport, and although the average distance per day cycling in a year decreased, the number of days I was cycling increased from 44% of all days in a year in 2024 to 73% in 2025!

On Saturday, #LjubljanskaKolesarskaMreža from Ljubljana and #SindikatBiciklista from Zagreb organized, together with municipalities of #Brežice and #Brdovec, a cross-border cycling event, featuring bicycle repairs, safety polygon, drunkness simulator, and much much more. So great! On the coming weekend, a similar event is planned, however in the opposite direction.
