The last to bloom but always the grandest! This peachy pink rhododendron is blooming late this year, and its blossoms are impressively large compared to the others in the garden.

Definitely one of my favourite artists and my inspiration through art college and the decades beyond. Looking up close at his work revealed such depth: bold strokes, bright colours, gorgeous landscapes, and even his innovative iPad art have brought me so much pleasure. A profound loss for British art.

Another rhododendron is bursting into bloom. It's not the most popular shrub in the garden, but I think it is bloomin' beautiful.
A peaceful pause on my cycling route at Sheffield Park, where the maples and blooming rhododendrons offered the perfect dose of nature bonding.
