What’s the difference between the many device types supported by Android XR? Over the last year Google have been presenting different groups of device types, from AI smartglasses to spatial computing headsets. But I haven’t found an overview of all the device types together, and what the key differences are. We want to be able to easily communicate these differences to our clients, so we’ve made a one pager that hopefully shows them all :-)

Just tried to work on my iPad in the sunshine, rather than on the Mac in the office. I wanted to open a PDF (from box.com) and make some notes on it, to refer back to later.

If you're a UX researcher or designer and interested in interactive immersive content for spatial computing (the next era of entertainment). You should watch this session by Serenity Caldwell @settern (Design Evangelist, Apple). https://www.youtube.com/live/leGqoF8HJxU?si=wtN8Nd5osqfImyEd&t=11275 #spatialcomputing #userexperience #immersivevideo

Many thanks to Jad Meouchy (Cofounder of the legendary BadVR) for letting me have a turn of his Meta Ray Ban Display glasses and S-EMG “Neural Band” at the SydAR event today. The menus were sharp and the gestures worked pretty smoothly for a first timer. They’re not available in Australia, and Jed is over from LA to do his talk at SXSW Sydney.
Orange phone is orange! There was still a big queue for in store pick up when I was at the Sydney Apple Store at 2 PM. Queue was about 45 minutes.
Our Contxtual Apple Vision Pro app is getting an important UX improvement, better display of overlapping meetings. Day Ahead provides a beautiful, glanceable overview of your calendar events for the day, so you can always see your next meeting and tap to find out more. (1/2)
The amazing Yin got me little “Oli with Apple Vision Pro” macarons for my birthday :-D
