Optimising #Mastodon = designing flows that encourage people to leave mastodon.social for other instances, not accepting any more new members on mastodon.social, and making design changes that limit how much a single instance can scale.

A single instance that can scale to host hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of people, is not a design success in decentralisation, it’s a design failure. (It’s a design success in #BigTech.)

I have been thinking of this...
Every triangle has an incircle and a circumcircle. Given a (blue) circle and a (pink) circle inside the blue one, is there always a triangle for which these are the circum and inner circles ? If not, then when ? How to find one, some, all ?

Make the web(and web adjacent) protocols anti-corporate and homegrown, seriously.

Our current path is unsustainable for ordinary peeps. If everything is only found in proprietary silos and walled gardens, break them open.

Just like peeps make their own gardens in the city, we have the ability to make our path on the net as a whole.

Also, hack the planet. Leave no stone unturned when it comes to knowledge!
