Last weekend I spent a day upgrading https://solar.lowtechmagazine.com from #Debian Buster to Debian Bookworm. It took some time, but everything went very smooth. Also the @olimex A20-Lime2 holds up well going in year 8 of the project.

@etchedpixels people do not realize that with all these cloud "free" services they do not own their work, at any moment the service may stop working and then they have no access to what they did! This is what killed Eagle - once they move to subscription model, any time you end the subscription you lose access to all your work

JLCPCB plans to spend $85K on an “Open Source Hardware” competition, yet participation requires the use of EasyEDA—their closed-source, vendor-locked PCB design tool.

Donating this money to the KiCad team to further improve KiCad would be a far better way to support open-source hardware.
